Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart

6 JULY (Mt 11,25-30)

Lord Jesus is not one of the Lord Messiahs among the many messiahs that day after day appear on our earth, create revolutions that are always sprayed with blood, promise a new social and political organization of the planet, build false hopes and false expectations in the hearts of poor people, already disappointed by the sad and painful history it has already been condemned of by the messiahs that came before. Jesus is not one among many, he is not even the first among many. He is not the one that came last that must give place to those who after him will certainly come and will be announced as the messiahs, saviours and redeemers of mankind. All of these human messianisms are false and miserable. They died even before birth, because they are founded on the pride and presumption of being something when in fact they are nothing but vanity and deep uselessness.

Jesus is not the first, not the last and not one among many. Jesus is the one, the only, the true, the perfect, the complete, the divine and human absolute. Jesus is the Messiah who is the only Mediator between God and the whole of humanity. There are none others, never there will be, never might there be. A one and only God, one and only humanity, whom He created in His image and likeness, one and only Mediator, Jesus Christ, our Lord. This truth must be installed again in every heart, because it is as if deleted, faded, blackened, dusted. It must be immediately placed back in the heart of every disciple of Jesus and from the heart of the disciple it must be written in every other heart. Our salvation, our redemption, our justification, our natural and supernatural truth are in him. Our peace, our comfort, our joy, our salvation and our life are in him.

Jesus is the one and only Mediator concerning our own creation. We were created through him. He is not merely a creature. He is the Creator of man, made a creature to redeem his work fallen into the deep sin of pride and disobedience. Life sprang out of God through him. Without him no life is possible outside of God. This truth must never be forgotten and neglected. It must shine in the heart of every man. Christ is our truth, because He is the life of all creation. All lives for him and all receives its natural truth for him. Of course we are from Him and not just supernaturally. This truth must be established firmly and with purity of heart and conscience.

At that time Jesus said in reply, “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him. “Come to me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your selves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

Jesus is the only Mediator in the knowledge of the true God. Mind you. It is not for him that God is known. He is the true knowledge of God, because He is the perfect truth of the Father. This simply means that we must not study his works to know God, as you would do for any other theologian or teacher, or professor of sacred things. He has not written any work. His life is the work that reveals the truth of the Father. There is in him a perfect identification between God and truth, between God and grace, between God and salvation, between God and revelation, between God and knowledge. He is God’s truth, grace, salvation, revelation, knowledge and full manifestation. Who wants to know God must know Him, who wants to love God must love Him, who wants to possess God must possess Him, who wants to serve God must serve Him, who wants to enjoy the closeness of God must be one thing with him. Even in peace, comfort, consolation, true hope, he does not dwell through Him, but through Him, with Him and in Him. He is our peace, our comfort, our joy, our rest, our refreshment, our life in the present and in the future. Without him one is without himself.

Virgin Mary, Mother of the Redemption, Angels and Saints, give us true faith in Jesus.
