He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit
23 JULY (Jn 15,1-8)
The not true, not good and not holy lives are many in the world. These do not produce good fruit of truth, justice, charity, mercy, love, compassion, piety, relief and holiness. Every tree produces according to its nature. A corrupt nature will always produce corruption and every man in his nature is corrupt. Therefore, no man might proclaim himself a true vine, a true way and a true tree of salvation for those who go after him. The ways indicated by him are all corruption and death. His nature can only produce these things. Darkness produces darkness. Sin generates death.
This truth must be proclaimed firmly. Every religion existing in the world is the result of a man whose nature is corrupted. He the first that needs to be brought into the non corruption, into the truth of his nature, into the justice of his existence, into the light of his body and his soul. If he is in death, in the non truth, never might he be way of light and truth for others. This is a logical consequence. Everyone gives what he is. If he is good, he produces fruits of goodness. If he is perverse he gives fruits of perversity. If he is corrupt he generates fruits of perversion. If he is in darkness he can give nothing but darkness.
Religions have in themselves a principle of truth: they bind man to the supernatural and to the divine. Contrary to impiety which denies the very existence of God, religions, including those idolatrous ones, open this supernatural horizon, even if very confused and uncertain. They are ways that open up to the divine and the transcendent. These are paths that allow to overcome immanence, atheism and the denial of God. However, they are often a sealed monolithic block, in which it is impossible to penetrate. In this sense, they can be a serious impediment to the growth of man in the truth. A blocked truth is not the truth of God, it is the truth of Satan.
Every man must listen to this truth. Only Jesus Christ is the true vine. No one else is. Never might he be and never he was. He is the only one who can fructify eternal life, truth, justice, charity, mercy, compassion and brotherly love. However, he fructifies it not in who remains unfastened, separated and cut off from Him, but in whoever becomes with him one real vine. He is the true vine and all others are called to be branches of Him. He gives the true sap, those who are a thing with Him give real fruits. The true vine produces through the branches. The branches produce because they are one with the true vine.
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit. You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you. Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.
This one and only true vine will never wither, will never cease to bear good fruit, because it is cured by the Heavenly Father. He is the farmer that prunes the branches that produce and cuts the fruitless ones. He is the one who watches over it, who puts fortified shelter wall, which does not allow any wild boar to come close to it. It is He who protects it so that no disease takes and consumes it. The Heavenly Father takes care only of this vine. He cannot cure the others. They do not belong to him. They are not his vines. Every one of the other vines takes care of itself with the results that every day they fall before our eyes. Too bad that many branches have lost that faith. In fact, there are so many that no longer believe in Jesus the one and only true vine. There are too many people who do not believe that our Heavenly Father is the farmer of this one true vine. By now, even among the branches of Jesus winds the belief that every vine is true and every branch is good. The fruits refute them.
Virgin Mary, Mother of the Redemption, Angels and Saints give us true faith in Jesus.
