Even the hairs of your head have all been counted

17 OCTOBER (Lk 12,1-7)

Jesus wants his disciples to be the true light of the world and the true salt of the earth. Light has no darkness. It does not have hidden dark sides. Not even salt might ever clothe itself of appearances contrary to what it is according to the truth of its nature. Light and salt do not have a moment ofreality and a moment of appearance. Either light is or it is not. either salt is or it is not. Neither light nor salt may be at alternate times. It is contrary to their nature. One is what it is and that is it. One is not and that is it. Being and non-being does not belong to them.

Jesus wants every one of his disciples to be this very nature. You cannot be disciples of the Lord as you please, alternatively in places, circumstances and situations. Either you are or you are not. The nature is one and the same. If you are disciples with yourselves, you are also with others. If you arein the Church you will be it even outside. If you live your truth home, you will also live it in places of work and study. If you are Christians in the Baryou are also in parliaments. If you are it in theaters you will also be in university classrooms. If you are light in winter you will also be in summer. Ifyou are it while you sell you will also be it when you buy. Trade will always be experienced by Christians, also.

Christianity is not a dress that you wear at convenience, by opportunity. It is change, mutation, transformation of our nature, our spirit and our soul. Our very structure of creation is changed. Then, in the beginning God made us in his image and likeness. He created us with his almighty Word, but he did not generate us, he did not make us share in his divine nature. He and we are of two different natures. His is divine, ours is human. His is eternal, ours was made. Even if in a very noble and sublime way, but it was made. With Jesus, everything changes. Jesus makes us his body and his life. He gives us his progeny. He makes us partakers of the divine nature. He makes us true image, in Him, of God. In Him we are generated by God, we are made His true children of adoption.

This news must be affirmed, shouted, proclaimed, against all those who claim that between a Christian and a non-Christian, there is no difference.Against all those who claim that baptism and non baptism for a person are the same thing. Against all those who are relativizing Christ and putting him on the same plane as other founders. Against all those who throw poison on the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church, the only bulwark of thetruth of man, not only the one of the origins, that makes him in the image and likeness of God, but also that of the new creation or generation fromhigh which makes him a true image, in Christ, of God; his true son, because he was born as a new creature from the Holy Spirit and water.

Meanwhile, so many people were crowding together that they were trampling one another underfoot. He began to speak, first to his disciples, “Beware of the leaven – that is, the hypocrisy – of the Pharisees. “There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed on the housetops. I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body but after that can do no more. I shall show you whom to fear. Be afraid of the one who after killing has the power to cast into Gehenna; yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one. Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins? Yet not one of them has escaped the notice of God. Even the hairs of your head have all been counted. Do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.

This truth cannot be hidden. It cannot but be manifested, shown, revealed at any time. We cannot think as Christians and non-Christians, act asdisciples and non disciples, as followers of Jesus and non followers of Him. We cannot deny ourselves out of fear for men. Nor can we sell our truthfor some prestige, some ephemeral glory, an armchair and a skullcap. We must consecrate our entire life for our truth. We have to sacrifice ourselves for it, even by offering our bodies physically to martyrdom.

Virgin Mary, Mother of the Redemption, Angels and Saints make us be forever true.
